About Me

Hello, my name is Wil 😸. I'm currently working as a Junior Data Engineer at LENA - Lately, Everything Needs Analytics.

I earned my Computer Science degree from the University of the Philippines - Diliman. Throughout my academic journey, I gained diverse experiences in various areas of Computer Science, ranging from programming to artificial intelligence, data science, web development, and conducting research on optimization problems like the Poset Cover Problem.

I interned at Asia United Bank, starting as an information security intern. During my time there, I developed documentation guidelines for secure coding in Java and C applications, based on the OWASP Application Verification Security Standard (ASVS). I also successfully passed the official ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity exam. A month later, I transitioned into a Data Analyst intern role, becoming part of the Credit Risk team responsible for managing and analyzing commercial loan scorecards. Much of my work involved using preprocessing techniques to prepare, clean, and manage data. Under the guidance of my supervisor, I developed two Python automation scripts. These optimized the consolidation process of client scorecards, with the second version significantly improving execution speed.
